Supporting Year-Round Food and Water Availability while Diversifying Farm Income and Building Climate Resilience The Integrated Rice-Field Pond System (IRFPS) is a low-input integrated farming system that improves existing ricefield ponds to strengthen the productivity and resilience of rice-based farming systems. By improving pond–ricefield connectivity, water and fish habitat management and integrating rice, fish, vegetables and livestock production, IRFPS supports diversified food production and more productive use of existing land and water resources, with documented increases of 57% in rice yields and 67% in fish yields.
Boost yields. Protect biodiversity. Increase profits. Farming with Alternative Pollinators (FAP) is a biodiversity-based agricultural approach that enhances crop productivity while conserving pollinator populations and ecosystem services. By integrating marketable habitat-enhancing plants into farming systems, FAP supports natural pollination, reduces pest pressure, and increases farmer income. The approach provides policymakers with a scalable solution to promote sustainable agriculture, strengthen food security, and protect biodiversity.
